[VI-1140] Development of automation system using hydraulic excavator CAT320 for full electric control

In this development, we aimed to automate the work of excavating soil and loading it into dumps, which is the most basic method of use among various types of hydraulic excavator work. The hydraulic excavator used was a CAT320, a 20t class hydraulic excavator with high versatility. The CAT320 is the first fully electronically controlled machine with a 20t class hydraulic excavator. Machines that are electronically controlled as standard are construction machines to which automation technology can be easily applied. This paper reports the development of an automated system for excavation and loading work of earth and sand pits using this machine.
