[VI-678] Detecting Rock Falls on Tunnel Face using RGB-D camera

In mountain tunnel construction, accidents due to the rockfall have occurred. To prevent them, it is necessary to constantly monitor the tunnel face for signs of the rockfall. In this study, we have proposed the rockfall-detection method that combines generating the mask image of only the tunnel face using Depth image and detecting the moving object by inter-frame difference method using RGB image. From the results of experiments using an RGB-D camera at an actual worksite. It was confirmed that rockfall and excavated soil mass could be detected breaker excavation and trimming work.
