[VI-57] A design example of countermeasures for the sheet pile against lateral flow of liquefied ground

Based on the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake in March 2011 and the Kumamoto Earthquake in April 2016, fast recovery of oil and other supplies even in the large-scale disaster became extremely important. This report presents a design example of strengthened countermeasures for a sheet pile mooring to enable oil to be loaded and unloaded early after a large-scale earthquake motion causing a lateral flow by liquefied ground.
