In recent years, labor-saving and automation technologies for geological evaluation using ICT have been developed as a part of the improvement of productivity in civil engineering works. In this study, the authors focused on a hyperspectral camera as an ICT tool to reduce the workload of sketching by automatic geological evaluation of the foundation rock mass of a dam.

This report describes a case study of geological evaluation using a hyperspectral camera at the Naruse Dam under construction in Higashi-Narise Village, Ogatsu-gun, Akita Prefecture.
