A lot of concrete slabs of bridges have been replaced in recent years, and precast PC slabs have been used in order to lift traffic restriction early. Although wall balustrades are generally constructed by cast-in-place concrete after replacing slab, the process of constructing wheel guard on the spot affects a period of the time before traffic restriction is lifted. So, labor saving could be possible if we can manufacture PC slabs which include wheel guard at factories. Thus, we researched how to dispose edges of pre-tensioning PC steels in order to put PC slabs with wheel guard into practical use. The result showed that to cut PC steels from the top of slabs could be the way to satisfy target perfomance.
