Yamba Dam is the first dam designed for level 2 earthquakes. In concrete mixing, management of tensile strength and static elastic modulus, which were not in concrete quarity management so far, has been imposed. However, the required performance could not be satisfied because of aggregates collected and manufactured in the field. We investigated the cause, and consider the method of concrete quarity management to satisfies required performance. This paper describes the concrete quarity management, and reports on the results of management in actual construction.
