シールド路線上部を横断する旧河川函渠の支持杭が、シールド断面内に残存し、掘進の支障となることが明らかになっている。狭隘ヤードかつ空頭制限等の制約条件のなか、地中に残置された鋼管杭を撤去するという難工事であったが、新たな支障物撤去工法を検討・実施した結果、無事当該部の支障杭撤去を完了した。
