In overseas hydropower projects, contract management is one of the important tasks since they have a large potential risks related to design change and external factors with change of cost and schedule depending on construction site situations, For minimizing impacts by these risks and maintaining construction supervising, this paper presents implementation and feedback on contract management by the project owner through the Nam Ngiep 1 Hydropower Project in Lao PDR, which commenced the commercial operation in September 2019, and it will contribute to contract management applicable for future overseas IPP hydropower projects.
