[VI-482] Investigation on fatal accident occurred during demolition work in civil engineering work

The dilapidated structures be demolished in construction sites. In addition, accidents have occurred during restoration work. This study investigated fatal accidents occurred during demolition work in civil engineering work. The fatal accident data used were public data from the government. The study surveyed a sample of accidents that occurred during a ten-year period, between 2009 and 2018. From the results, the number of fatal accidents occurred during the demolition work in civil engineering work was from 0 to 11 by year. There were many disasters in small construction sites. The great number of fatal accidents can be attributed to workers falling and collapsing.
