As a technique for measuring the stressl of a steel bar in RC structure, steel bar cutting method could be applied. However, the targetreinforcing bar is cmpletely cut in this method. Therefore, it is not preferable as a measurement method. On the other hand, an X-ray stress measurement method is widely used to measure the stress of a automobile steel plate. In this study, we tested the X-ray stress measurement method to measure the stress of steel bars in RC structur. As a result, it was clarified that the X-ray measurement should have high accuracy when the stress level is less than 200 N/mm2.
