There are many acid rivers in Gunma prefecture, Japan. The acid rivers have a great influence on ecosystem around the rivers and can't be utilized as water for agriculture and manufacturing. From 1964, a neutralization treatment has started using a powdered limestone in Yukawa River. However, the problems on the neutralization treatment are point out. Example, it is difficult to dispose the by-product generated from the limestone neutralization. Therefore, the development of an alternatiove method is needed from a standpoint of a sustainable neutralization treatment. In this study, the experiments were performed based on previous research using new porous electrode.
