[P02-18] Computations of Non-Boussinesq Density Currents between Multiple Non-Spherical Particles
Keywords:density current, cell-porosity resolution, phase-averaged model, hydrogen gas
This paper deals with the computational method for the density currents between multiple non-spherical particles with a phase-averaged model, in which no empirical formulations, like a permeability k and a drag coefficient Cd, are needed. In addition, density currents caused by wide range of density ratio can be predicted reasonably since the Boussinesq approximation is not used in our method. The numerical experiments were conducted to understand the influence of the cell-porosity resolution R, which is defined as the spatial resolution of the fluid cells against the volume that is not occupied by the solid particles.
