[P02-21] Applicability of Celerity Equation for Bottom in the Development Process of Alternate Bar

Until now, poor understanding of the propagation characteristics of alternate bars, which are wave phenomena, is that the formulation of the theoretical equation for its celerity has not been established. In this study, we firstly derived the two-dimensional theoretical equation for celerity of riverbed waves. Secondly, we verified applicability of its equation for alternate bars using temporal and spacial high-resolution measured values. As a result, we clarified that its equation have high accuracy for estimation of alternate bars celerity if froude number is lower than 1.0.
