[S02C-04] Kirchhoff migration for the identification of the location of point-like scatterers based on the pseudo projection in an elastic half space
Keywords:Kirchhoff Migration, Time Reversal, the Normalization of the Green’s Function, Pseudo Projection, Scattering Tensor, Far-Field Operator
The purpose of this study is to deploy the Kirchhoff migration in the elastic half space using the
normalization of Green’s function and the pseudo projection, which is the operator to extract P, SV
and SH types of Green’s function. We resolve some problems in Kirchhoff migration for imaging of
point-like scatterers in 3D structure of wave field. One of the problems is that if some targets are
close to the source and observation surface and others aren’t, the accuracy of the imaging results
decreases. In this study, that problem is solved due to the normalization of Green’s function. In
addition, the application of pseudo projection to Green’s function improve the accuracy of imaging
results of Kirchhoff migration analysis.
