[S01B-02] A RENORMALIZATION METHOD BASED ON MOLLIFIER DEVELOPED FOR ELASTIC WAVEFIELD

It is well-known that the Born approximation is a useful tool to simplify the representation of the wavefield which is influenced by the presence of the point like scatterers. For the case of the Born approximation is not valid, however, we encounter the problem of the divergence due to the interaction of the point-like scatterers. In this paper, a renormalization method based on the use of the mollifier is developed.Effectiveness of the present method is examined and verified by several numerical computations.
