[2C12-20-09] Modeling of Photoacoustic Wave Generation and Propagation Using Finite Integration Technique and Its Experimental Validation

When a short pulse laser irradiates on the surface of solid, ultrasonic wave generates by the photoacoustic effect. In this study, the phenomena are numerically modeled using a discretization scheme of the finite integration technique. The heat transmission is calculated by solving the heat conduction equation, then the effect is incorporated into the Duhamel-Neumann's relation. The numerical result of ultrasonic wave propagation is validated with experimental measurement.
