[11001-05-05] Data assimilation by Phase Velocity of Rayleigh wave (Proceedings of Symposium on Applied Mechanics)
Keywords:Data assimilation , Surface wave, ensemble Kalman filter
The strength profile of the subsoil can be obtained through the surface wave method which is commonly used in geophysical exploration. The results of the shear wave velocity obtained by inverting the dispersion curve of the Rayleigh wave are non-unique. In this study, the ensemble Kalman filter was used for this inverse problem. By taking the phase velocity at the same frequency in the dispersion curve as the observed value, we can estimate the shear wave velocity of the model and quantitatively evaluate the uncertainty of the results. Numerical experiments show that this method can effectively estimate the subsoil model.
