In this study, in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of using an X-ray CT system that can take images in a loaded condition as a method for measuring shear deformation near corroded rebar in mortar, we attempted to measure shear deformation near the steel bar with and without corrosion of round steel bar in the shear plane and examined the changes in the stress transfer mechanism. As a result, it was confirmed by DVC using X-ray CT images during loading that the change in the load-displacement relationship due to corrosion of the rebar was caused by the change in the stress transfer mechanism induced by the corrosion cracks.
