In this study, experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of emergent vegetation field length on wave propagation of dam break flows. Vegetation was represented by wooden cylinders. Three different vegetation field lengths with constant density were used. Temporal variation of wave height was measured at Different sections along the flume. Results show that the wave height and wave celerity downstream vegetation field decrease with increasing vegetation field length.
