This study aims to refine a three-dimensional flow model in a generalized curvilinear coordinate system by incorporating a porous media approach to simulate both surface and seepage flows. The accuracy and effectiveness of the model are verified through its application to two scenarios: curved open channel flows with riverbed topography obtained from the experiment and a permeation process. The numerical results demonstrate that the model is capable of accurately predicting water surface and velocity distributions in curved channels and the permeation process.
