Nowadays, the development of additive manufacturing technology has made it possible to print not only metals and cements, but even continuous fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) with 3D printers. In this study, we propose an optimal design method for continuous fiber reinforced plastic that are designed to be formed by a 3D-printer (3DP-FRP). The continuous fibers, which are the most important feature of 3DP-FRP, are represented based on the Embedded model, and the optimal arrangement and orientation of the fibers are obtained by level set method.
