Recently, with the increase of debris flow disasters, countermeasures using fence-like trapping structures using large particles accumulation have been promoted. It is necessary to understand large particles accumulation in order to fully demonstrate the disaster mitigation effect of this countermeasure structure. Therefore, in this paper, we investigated the effects on the degree of large particles accumulation by analyzing various bed roughness and water velocity distribution using distinct element method. As a result, it was confirmed that bed roughness and water velocity distribution affected debris flow length and large particles accumulation in the front.
