In recent years, local heavy rain and typhoon disasters have caused an increase in scour damage to bridge foundations. It is important to evaluate the residual bearing capacity of the foundations after scouring for emergency restoration of bridge foundations. In this study, a simple analysis model that considers the contact between the full width of the foundation and the ground is proposed to calculate the ultimate bearing capacity of the ground after local scouring using the Rigid-Plastic Finite Element Method (RPFEM). In addition, the reproduction analysis of a previous model experiment was conducted to verify the proposed model.
