This study examined the reproducibility of full-scale experiments using distinct element method with a finite lement method. The finite element method using beam element was used to model a rockfall protection fence. The load and time relationship between the full-scale experiment and analysis results was compared. The results of the analysis reproduced the maximum tension of the wire rope. The elastic plastic deformation of the H-steel member obtained in the experiment was also reproduced. Therefore, the proposed method reproduced the experiment in terms of the maximum load and deformation.
