[24001-06-03] FE modelling of global bridges and intermediate hinge sections in cantilever-suspended steel girder bridge (Proceedings of Symposium on Applied Mechanics)

In this study, modelling methods for the entire bridge and intermediate hinge sections were investigated for the cantilever-suspended steel plate girder bridge. As a result, a method was proposed that can reproduce not only the natural frequencies and vertical displacements but also the centre of rotation and stress state, even if the hinge bearings are modelled in a simplified manner. It was also found that the use of beam elements in the overall bridge affects the higher-order vibration modes.
