In this research, at first, the vibration characteristics of the F type road information boards in service are estimated by analyzing the acceleration responses with the ERA method. Next, the full-scale damage experiments are conducted to investigate the temporal changes of the eigen frequencies due to several patterns of damages. Finally, the sensitivity of eigen-frequency to the damages is analyzed using a simple numerical model of a cantilever beam with a rocking spring.
