MEDICAL CONTRIBUTIONS:
1991 Prof. Yung-Kuei Soong and Prof. Chyi-Long Lee achieved the first case of total laparoscopic hysterectomy in Asia-Pacific region.
1993 Prof. Chyi-Long Lee invented and utilized “LEE-HUANG POINT” in complicated laparoscopic surgeries.
1994 Prof. Chyi-Long Lee completed the first domestic laparoscopic artificial vaginal reconstruction.
1995 Prof. Chyi-Long Lee achieved the first case of laparoscopic transposition surgeries.
1995 The first case of ureteral catheter use in laparoscopic radical hysterectomy surgeries.
1996 Prof. Chyi-Long Lee as the director. The first domestic endoscopic specialty was established, after years of development, endoscopic surgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital has received considerable affirmation and recognition domestically and internationally.
1997 Prof. Chyi-Long Lee published the first domestic laparoscopic salpingoplasty microsurgery and developed a laparoscopic pelvic reconstruction surgery.
1999 Prof. Chyi-Long Lee invented Trocar assisted sling suspension for genuine stress incontinence. (TASS)
2000 Prof. Chyi-Long Lee achieved the first case of laparoscopic radical parametrectomy for occult cervical cancer in the world.
2002 Prof. Chyi-Long Lee and Prof. Kuan-Gen Huang achieved the first case of laparoscopic radical trachelectomy in the world, and retained the fertility of cervical cancer patients.
2003 The Department of Endoscopy of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department of Chang Gung Hospital was established. Reached a new milestone in gynecological surgery.
2006 The hospital installed a Da Vinci robotic arm to assist endoscopic minimally invasive surgery, and began to perform more complex minimally invasive gynecological surgery.
2012 Prof. Chyi-Long Lee and Dr. Xuan Su published the first natural orifice hysterectomy in the world.
2013 Prof. Chyi-Long Lee, Dr. Kai Yuan Wu published the first natural orifice ovarian tumor resection in the world.
2014 Prof. Chyi-Long Lee achieved the first case of natural orifice transvaginal endoscopic endometrial cancer staging surgery in the world.
2015 Prof. Chyi-Long Lee achieved the first case of robot-assisted NOTES surgery for hysterectomy in the world.
2016 Prof. Chyi-Long Lee achieved the first case of NOTES sentinel lymph node dissection with endometrial cancer surgical staging surgery.
2019 Prof. Chyi-Long Lee published Lee’s Neovaginoplasty in Müllerian Anomalies with Vaginal Agenesis.
