Three-dimensional (3D) electro-anatomical mapping systems are commonly used during catheter ablation. The technology is still being developed, but most of the development has usually been performed for the pulmonary vein isolation of atrial fibrillation and not for use in pediatric patients. The CARTO system was the first to be available in Japan, then the Ensite system followed. The RHYTHMIA mapping system, with an innovative technology, has been available since 2017. The use of the 64-polar basket catheter, ORION, RHYTHMIA can make ultra-high-resolution 3D maps more rapidly than the other 3D mapping systems. Although, this catheter size makes it challenging to use in pediatric patients, we previously reported the efficacy and safety of RHYTHMIA in 23 pediatric patients who weighed >20 kg in 2019 (Heart Rhythm 2019; 16:388-394). From then, we have used RHYTHMIA in more than 100 pediatric patients without any complications. In my presentation, we will report the clinical data updates for these pediatric patients and present our interesting cases.
