[III-JCKAP8-2] Revised RV Restrictive Physiology in Adult Congenital Heart Disease
Keywords:Adult congenital heart disease, Right ventricle, Diastolic function
In adults with congenital heart disease (ACHD), right ventricular dysfunction is not uncommon, often exacerbated by complications such as pulmonary valve regurgitation and tricuspid valve regurgitation, which further contribute to right heart failure. Therefore, the evaluation of right ventricular function is crucial in ACHD, and while several indices have been reported for assessing systolic function, evaluating diastolic function is challenging and data are limited. Previously, end-diastolic forward flow at the pulmonary valve level has been reported as reflecting restrictive physiology of the right ventricle, and it is considered effective for assessing diastolic function. This presentation will discuss the significance of end-diastolic forward flow and its utility
