Every year the Japanese Society of Psychiatry and Neurology (JSPN) have been accepting applications for the JSPN FellowshipAward, which is presented to early-career psychiatrists from around the world. The purpose of this symposium is for psychiatrists from different countries to discuss about suicide prevention. We hope that we will have better ideas how to improve suicide orevention through the discussion on following 4 items.

1. Background factors as a country
2. Systems for treatment and consultation
3. Prevention and Education
4. Future Prospects

There will be discussion on the differences and similarities of situation of psychiatrists and broader perspectives about various countries will be obtained from the discussion. We hope our understanding of the problem of suicide prevention will be deepened through today’s discussion based on a global point of views.

日本精神神経学会では、毎年、世界の若手精神科医を対象に、JSPN Fellowship Award を募集しています。このシンポジウムの目的は、各国の精神科医が自殺予防について議論することです。以下の4 点に関する議論を通して、自殺予防に関する対策を向上させるためのより良いアイディアが得られることを期待しています。

1. 国としての背景要因
2. 治療や相談のためのシステム
3. 予防と教育
4. 今後の展望

精神科医を取り巻く状況の違いや共通点についても議論し、各国に対するより広い視野を得ることを目指します。本日のグローバルな視点でのディスカッションを通じて、我々の自殺予防に対する理解が深まることを期待しています。
