[2P26S] Structural identification of α-terthiophene single molecule junction by surface-enhanced Raman scattering
The electron transport via π conjugation system in single-molecule junction has been paid attention due to its low attenuation factor. In this study, we simultaneously measured electric property and surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) of directly bridged α-terthiophene single molecule junction to maintain high conductivity of π conjugation system. The single molecule junction shows various electrical conductance and SERS spectra are changed corresponding to conductance. The change in vibrational energy suggests the difference in contact points between metal and molecule affects electrical conductance.
