[2P32] Film thickness evaluation of porous organic thin films fabricated at the air/liquid interface
1,3,5-Tris(4-carboxyphenyl)benzene (BTB), a porous organic thin film material, forms a thin film with dozens of layers having a honeycomb structure at the gas/liquid interface. However, it is still unclear whether it is possible to fabricate films using materials with different pore sizes and how to control the film thickness. In this study, we tried to fabricate thin films using 1,3,5-Triscarboxyphenylethynyl (BTE) and investigated whether the parameters of the fabrication process affect the film thickness. Atomic force microscopy showed BTE thin films could be prepared and the film thickness varied with the solvent ratio, and gave the evidence of honeycomb structure formation.
