About the Young Scientist Poster Presentation Award

In principle, the Young Scientist Poster Presentation Award will be given to a regular member or student member who is under 35 years old at the time of presentation and who has made a particularly outstanding presentation at the poster session of the spring or fall meeting organized by the Society.
*Non-members of the Society are not eligible for selection for the "Society of Natural Resources and Materials Science Young Scientist Poster Award". Non-members are encouraged to join the Society.

Award Winners: to be announced as soon as they are confirmed
Award Ceremony: to be announced as soon as it is confirmed.

# Poster Presentation Methods #
The following two sets of poster presentations will be given at this conference.
Individual oral presentations in the lecture hall (General Education Bldg. 2)) from 13:40
Simultaneous poster presentations to be given from 15:15 to 17:15 in the poster presentation area (University Hall Claire)

# September 11 (Wed) 13:40- Poster Presentation (Oral Presentation)
* Presentation time for short lectures is 4 minutes for the lecture, no Q&A.


Poster Presentation (Oral Presentation) Program

# September 11 (Wed) 15:15-17:15 Poster Presentations
*All participants are required to present at the same time.
*Recommended poster size: A0 (portrait)
*Poster board size to be set up at the venue: 1000 mm (W) x 1800 mm (H)
*Posters must be posted on the poster board between 10:00 AM on 9/10 and 10:00 AM on 9/11.
*Poster numbers and poster layout will be posted on the website in late August.

Terms and agreements for Speakers at our spring or fall conference.

If you have registered as a speaker in any session at this conference, you are considered to have agreed to Declaimer and Terms for Speakers, Guidelines for Quotation, and Notes for Participation and Presentation.

Before registering as a speaker, never fail to check "Terms and agreements for Speakers at our spring or fall conference" by MMIJ Web-site.
 

 

Important points for Presentation registration

(1) Poster-presentation's registration qualification

As a general rule, the speaker of the lecture must be an individual member of MMIJ.
Alternatively, the co-authors must include at least one MMIJ individual member.
It is not possible to give lectures only to students.
However, special sessions do not follow suit.
 

(2) Poster-presentation category

Please select the appropriate session of your Poster-presentation's theme.

General session

(3) Poster-presentation's time.

Speakers should strictly adhere to their allotted presentation time as follows:

  • Poster session:To be announced as soon as it is confirmed.
  • Poster-short presentation:To be announced as soon as it is confirmed.
  • Announcement of elapsed time

On the day of the lecture, the hall attendant will ring one bell one minute before the end of the lecture, two bells at the end of the lecture, and three bells at the end of the Q&A session to announce the end of the lecture.
 

(4) Poster-presentation's registration period (until 12:00 noon Japan time).

 
  1. Submission for Poster-presentation registration Period May 1, 2024 (Wed.) noon - June 12, 2024 (Wed.) noon  (Japan time)
  2. Uploading of Proceedings: Noon, June 13, 2024 (Thu.) - Noon, August 21, 2024 (Wed.) (Japan time)



(5) Poster-presentation's  registration items

  2. Proceedings:First of all, please read "how to write your manuscript".And you use template directly to avoid mistakes and read the instructions carefully.Template for the body of the proceedings of MMIJ's Annual Meeting / Fall Meeting.doc
  3. Convert your proceedings to PDF file and upload.                    Manuscripts of at least one and no more than six pages, including figures and tables, in A4 size as PDF files.
  4. Upload slide data (ppt, pptx) for the day's presentation
Maximum uploadable file size: 10.0 MB

I.Create an account for Poster-presentation registration
To register, one of the authors must create a conference account. 
 

 

II.Poster-presentation registration
 After logging in, register your Poster-presentation and you can change the contents (e.g., title, abstract, etc.) until June 12, 2024 (Wed.) 12:00 noon (Japan time). 
After this date, changes to the contents of your Poster-presentation will not be possible.

 

 

III. Full paper submission
Write your paper using the MMIJ template and save it as PDF file.
Log-in to your account and upload the PDF file.
Note: Changes are possible only until 
August 21, 2024 (Wednesday) 12:00 noon (Japan time). After this date, submission of papers will not be entertained but the authors can still present their work.
