Yohei Okada is an Associate Professor of the Department of Neurology at Aichi Medical University. He graduated from Nagoya University School of Medicine, obtaining an M.D. in 1997, and trained in Medicine and Neurology at the Japanese Red Cross Nagoya First Hospital and Nagoya University Hospital. In 2001, he started his research on mouse ESC-derived neural stem cells and was awarded a Ph.D. in 2004 by Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine. From 2004 to 2013, he performed basic research on neural regeneration using mouse and human pluripotent stem cells, and pathophysiological analysis of neurological disorders using disease-specific iPSCs, as an assistant professor, a JSPS postdoctoral research fellow (PD), and a tenure track lecturer at Keio University School of Medicine.
