[NFS-04-4] Treatment strategies targeting tau in progressive supranuclear palsy
Dr. Ikuko Aiba obtained her medical degree in 1987 and received her Ph.D. in 1997 from Nagoya University School of Medicine, Nagoya, Japan. After working as an intern and staff physician at Kasugai City Hospital, she transferred to the Department of Neurology, Nagoya University School of Medicine. Since 1994, she has been working at National Hospital Organization Higashinagoya National Hospital, Nagoya, Japan.
Her primary research interests include the clinicopathological study of atypical parkinsonism and multidisciplinary care especially in terms of fall prevention in patients with neurological disorders. She was a member of the steering committee for the clinical trial of anti-tau antibody for progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). She also has been working as a scientific advisery member of the Japanese PSP association since 2003.
