[HS-5] Technical medical terms of Chinese characters reversely exported to China from Japan
Professor Dr Norlinah Mohamed Ibrahim is a senior consultant Neurologist and Professor of Neurology, specializing in movement disorders at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She is currently the Deputy Dean for Postgraduate Studies at her faculty. Dr Norlinah was the First Chair of the Movement Disorder Council of Malaysia (2010-2014).
She completed a Fellowship training in Movement Disorders at the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, London and currently serves as the Chair and Steering Committee member for the Movement Disorders in Asia Study Group and a committee member of Infection Related Movement Disorders Study group. She is also a Steering Committee member for Lancet -WHO for Stroke in Low to Middle Income Countries and and Asia Oceanic Task Force. She is an active researcher with numerous publications Parkinson’s disease, Ataxia, and Dystonia and Stroke in international journals.
She has received many competitive grants from the university and recently from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Malaysia for a study on the Development of Gait Monitoring App in Cerebellar Ataxia. She is also involved in international collaborations with other centers including the East Asia Parkinson’s Disease Genetic Consortium and Global Parkinson’s Project under Michael J Fox Foundation.
