I am a neurologist and epileptologist, currently being Professor of Division of Medical Technology, Department of Health Sciences, Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Kyushu University. I graduated from School of Medicine, Kyushu University in 1989 and had been worked as neurologist in general hospitals and National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry. I studied at Epilepsy and Sleep Center of Cleveland Clinic Foundation from September 2001 to September 2003. After that I worked at Kyushu University Hospital until I was transferred in 2012 as the director of Epilepsy and Sleep Center of Fukuoka Sanno Hospital. I returned to Kyushu University in April 2019 and am currently working.
Membership: Japanese Society of Neurology (Councilor), Japan Epilepsy Society (Director), Japanese Society of Sleep Research, Japan Society of Dementia Research, Japanese Society of Clinical Neurophysiology, Neuropsychology association of Japan, Japan Biomagnetism and Bioelectromagnetics Society
