[HT-06-4] 脊髄小脳失調症31型に対する疾患修飾薬の開発に向けて
Kinya Ishikawa is currently a Professor and Chair of Department of Personalized Genomic Medicine for Health, Graduate School, Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) in Tokyo. He is also appointed as a Professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurological Sciences, TMDU. He graduated from Tsukuba University, School of Medicine in 1989, and the Graduate School of Tsukuba in 1996. In graduate school, he studied under Professor Hidehiro Mizusawa and began research on spinocerebellar degeneration, which he continued after he moved to TMDU with Professor Mizusawa in 1997. He was then appointed as Assistant Professor in Neurology of TMDU in 1999, Junior Associate Professor in 2003. He was then promoted as the founding professor of the Center for Personalized Medicine for Healthy Aging, TMDU in 2015, then to the current position in 2023. He currently focuses on developing disease modifying therapy against SCA6 and SCA31.
