[HT-07-5] Functional Imaging Insights into the Pathophysiology of the Migraine Attack
Todd Schwedt, MD, MSCI, is a Professor of Neurology at the Mayo Clinic Arizona. He is Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Neurology, Headache Division Chair, principal investigator of the migraine and headache research team, and Director of the Clinicians Engaged in Research Faculty Development Program. Dr. Schwedt is President-Elect, Chair of the Research Committee, and Chair of the Education Committee for the American Headache Society. He is a member of the International Classification of Headache Disorders (ICHD) committee and is leading an international multistakeholder process to develop research priorities for the headache field. His research has received continuous funding for many years via grants and contracts from the United States Department of Defense, National Institutes of Health, Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute, academic institutions, foundations, and industry partners. He has received honors for his research, including winning the Mayo Clinic Arizona Investigator of the Year award and being the recipient of the Harold G. Wolff Award from the American Headache Society. Dr. Schwedt is a frequent lecturer at national and international meetings and has authored approximately 190 peer-reviewed journal articles.
