Dr. Fujioka obtained his medical degree in 2003, and he completed his residency at Fukuoka University in Fukuoka, Japan in 2005. He then pursued a fellowship in clinical research on movement disorders and dementia at the Mayo Clinic in Florida between 2010 and 2014. Since 2014, he has worked as an Assistant Professor (2014-2019) and an Associate Professor (2019-) at Department of Neurology, Fukuoka University Faculty of Medicine. He has published more than 150 peer-reviewed articles in international journals and is also the author of some book chapters. His research interests focus on clinical aspects of neurodegenerative parkinsonian disorders including Parkinson’s disease progressive supranuclear palsy, multiple system atrophy, and corticobasal degeneration, as well as involuntary movement disorders. He is also active in educational activities and serves as a Councilor in International Association of Parkinsonism and Related Disorders.
