[1LS10] Single cell synaptomic imaging in the brain

Tue. Aug 1, 2023 11:55 AM - 12:45 PM Room 10 (Meeting Room 4)

Chair: Fiallos Carolina (Thorlabs Japan Inc.)

Sponsored by Thorlabs Japan Inc.

The multiphoton microscope is often employed for imaging thick tissues such as the living brain, where cellular network extends in three dimensions. Therefore, the ability to image a volume rapidly is a crucial factor for a multiphoton microscope. Thorlabs provides advanced imaging technologies that allow for rapid volumetric imaging, such as Bessel-beam-based imaging, simultaneous imaging of two planes through temporal multiplexing, and a remote focus adjustment system based on liquid crystals. In this seminar, we are honored to have Professor Mikuni from the Niigata University Brain Research Institute give a presentation on cutting-edge research using Bessel imaging.
