[3LS04] Now is the time of Lightsheet: latest 3D/4D imaging technologies enabled only by light sheet microscopy
Thu. Aug 3, 2023 11:55 AM - 12:45 PM Room 4 (Sakura 1)
Chairperson: Akira Sato (Carl Zeiss Co., Ltd.)
Sponsored by Carl Zeiss Co., Ltd.
Light sheet microscopy is ideal for fast and gentle volume imaging due to its unique illumination principle. Long-term observations of biological specimens can be performed with unprecedentedly low phototoxicity. In addition, large specimens such as cleared brains and organs can also be imaged at high speed with clear resolution from the whole to the sub-cellular level. With the spread of tissue clearing techniques, scenes in which light sheet microscopy is used are expanding year by year.
In this seminar, the principles and features of light sheet microscopy and various applications will be introduced. In addition, Dr. Shinozaki, from Keio University, will provide a talk about practical methodology for tissue clearing and lightsheet imaging.
