[ThG3-3] Numerical Evaluation of Modal Crosstalk Statistics in Multiple Connectors of Weakly-coupled 10-mode Fibers

Statistical characteristics of modal coupling at concatenated 10-mode fiber connectors is numerically investigated. Just four connectors give rise to modal coupling power of > -20 dB. The modal crosstalk statistics are explainable by chi-squared distribution.
