[TuC2-4] Impact of Multi-Path Interference on Single Mode Transmission over Multi-Mode Fibers
Keywords:Fibers & Cables for Communication, Connectors, splicing and interconnection technologies
Multi-Path Interference effect is analyzed in reduced core-diameter graded-index multimode fibers designed for both single- and multi-mode transmission. Reduction of MPI is shown to be practical through fiber core parameter optimization and connector misalignment mitigation.
