[TuP4-G4] Silicon Microring Modulator with a pin-Diode-Loaded Multimode Interferometer Coupler

We demonstrate a silicon microring modulator incorporating a compact multimode interference (MMI) as the coupling element. The resonance wavelength of the microcavity is controlled independently with two electrical signals, which can potentially be used as PAM-4 transmitters, directed logic gates, electro-optic switches, etc.
