The asymmetric curved directional coupler (ACDC) is designed by 3D-FDTD simulation for achieving broad operation wavelength range. A wavelength bandwidth of 100nm is achieved by an ACDC with 7μm-long coupling region which has good tolerance to fabrication variations.
