[Aim]
Progress has been made in treatment options for epilepsy,　including antiepileptic drugs, surgical procedures, vagus nerve stimulation, and ketogenic diet. However, management of severe epileptic seizures has not been satisfactorily achieved. We will debate on the the treatment of intractable seizures in the following three cases:
Case 1: A case of refractory epilepsy associated with tuberous sclerosis complex
Case 2: A case with early-onset epileptic encephalopathy
Case 3: A case with presumed occipital lobe epilepsy without obvious MRI lesion
