[JKS7] Practical Education Seminar 7
Clinical Applications of Neurophysiology and Diagnostic Imaging, Practical Seminar for beginners

Wed. Jun 14, 2017 3:15 PM - 6:15 PM Room No.7 (10F Conference Room 1004-1005)

Chair:Atsushi Araki(Department of Pediatrics, Osaka Saiseikai Noe Hospital, Osaka, Japan), Masao Aihara(Graduate Faculty of Interdisciplinary Research, Graduate School, University of Yamanashi)

[Aim]
Neurophysiological approach, such as EEG, ERP, fMRI, MRS, SPECT and NIRS, is useful and non-invasive way to investigate the brain function and the pathological mechanisms of neurological diseases/disorders. In this seminar, we will talk about the association between neurophysiological findings and brain functions in epilepsy, developmental disorders and other neurological diseases under the sub-theme as follows: 1) EEG for diagnosis of child epilepsies; 2) NIRS, proton MRS, SPECT, EEG for diagnosis of child autism; 3) EEG for investigation of brain functions in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder; 4) VEP, NIRS, fMRI for investigation of brain functions in children with developmental dyslexia; 5) Evoked potentials for investigation of brain functions in children with cerebral palsy. We hope that this seminar will help young neuropediatric clinicians and researchers for their future works.
