[S16] Symposium 16
Treatment strategy of acute encephalitis/encephalopathy

Sat. Jun 17, 2017 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM Room No.4 (10F Conference Room 1003)

Chair:Hiroaki Nagase(Department of Mental Health for Children and Parents, Kobe University Hospital), Mitsuru Kashiwagi(Department of Pediatrics, Hirakata City Hospital, Osaka, Japan)

[Aim]
In 2016, guidelines of acute child encephalopathy were published. However, there were some unsolved problems in this guideline, such as clear criteria of "which case," "what timing," and "which method" in the treatment of the encephalopathy/encephalitis were not established. These clear criteria are required most in actual clinical sites, but a proposal based on evidence is difficult. In this symposium, front-runners will introduce the practical treatment strategy in each facility and discuss the directionality of the future treatment strategy of encephalopathy/encephalitis.
