[Aim]
The Japanese Society of Child Neurology released guidelines for the management of febrile seizure in 2015. The new guidelines presented several updated clinical recommendations useful for primary care doctors. The working group searched the literature for each clinical questions and evaluated the levels of evidence. However, the evidences for some recommendations are controversial and not satisfactory. The aim of this symposium is to discuss the problems to be elucidated hereafter. The problems will be discussed by professionally trained pediatric neurologist and audience cannot help being fascinated with the interesting aspects of such a popular disorder.
